Bearded Dubliners
The Dubliners formed in 1962 in a pub O'Donoghues, the founding members were Ronnie Drew, Luke Kelly Ciaran Bourke and Barney McKenna. They received their breakthrough in 1967 when their song Seven Drunken Nights received huge antenna and entered the charts. They began to achieve fame and success as singers of street ballads and bawdy songs and great traditional Irish instrumental music. Consumption infamous, long hair, beard, gruff accents and beautiful mood dear to the public worldwide. Between 1967 and 1969 they have released five albums and several singles, a The Black Velvet Band traced very well in Britain. In 1968, they appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show and toured America, Australia and New Zealand. The Tragedy struck the band in 1974 when Ciaran Bourke suffered a brain hemorrhage, he joined the group, but he collapsed again, this After being left partially paralyzed, he had to leave the group permanently. On June 30, 1980 Luke Kelly collapsed on stage after suffering a tumor the brain, he would later retrieve, join the group on a part time basis, but has suffered other health problems, he died in 1984. In 1987, they released a new album, Celebration, in conjunction with their twenty-fifth anniversary, it has attracted a remarkable comeback. They appeared on a tribute Late Late Show special edition television show with U2. Christy Moore, The Pogues and Wing Stockton. Their collaboration with The Pogues on the Irish Rover became a huge success, countless television programs and sold-out shows followed. The Dubliners continue his tour of album release; 2002 marked the fortieth anniversary of the band, they released an album, a live album and DVD to mark the occasion.

Michael Mann's warts-'n'-all biopic of three-time heavyweight boxing champ Muhammad Ali spans the most triumphant and turbulent decade of the legend's career. But like many a film marketing plan, its first soundtrack release seemed more concerned with selling CDs to those less familiar with Ali--and oddly, Mann's powerful film itself--than with accurately documenting the film's true musical soul. This second volume corrects that misstep, collecting much of Lisa Gerrard's and previous collaborator and former Dead Can Dance sideman Pieter Bourke's atmospheric, largely electronic underscore as well as an eclectic, less obviously pop-conscious slate of songs and music by Chicago bluseman Mighty Joe Young, nouveau R&B drum/bass/vocal merchants Dungeon East and Whild Peach, trans-genre cellist Martin Tillman, and Malian vocal legend Salif Keita.
